X-plore lets you see inside your Android phone or tablet.
It is a dual pane explorer, which means that there are two files submitted at the same time, the joint operation such as copying files are done from one pane to another.
And X-plore shows folder hierarchy in a tree. This offers clear orientation on where in file system is currently, and rapid change elsewhere.
Currently selected folders and files are highlighted, while other folders / files are on slightly darker background.
You can explore the internal device, and if you're power user and have your device rooted, you can change the system data - backup files, remove unwanted applications, etc.
If you are a regular user, you can choose to hide internal memory from view and be sure not to mess with the system.
You can comfortably see contents of your external memories, or whether large capacity memory, external memory card, or perhaps a USB connected to your tablet. All these memory types are listed in main level, there is no need to search for their files on the device.
Access to FTP and FTPS servers (secure FTP) is supported.
Multiple servers can be configured. All standard file operations can be performed on the FTP server.
X-plore can display shared folders on other computers on the LAN (local area network).
The system allows access to shared folders on computers connected to the local or remote server network, even if it is compatible with the SMB protocol.
X-plore can access various Web servers storage "cloud" and access your files.
You must have an account in supported web service, then you can access the files stored online through X-plore.
Main operations are related to managing files and folders - View, copy, move, delete, compression Zip, extracting, renaming, sharing, and more.
Picasa Albums
X-plore can list images in Picasa albums, download, create albums, upload and delete photos, edit titles.
SQLite database viewer
X-plore can show SQLite database files (those with .db extension) expandable list of tables, each table in the list of rows and columns with database entries it contains.
Main interaction is done by touch screen, clicking on folders or files to open files, or long-click to open the context menu with options that can be done at some point you clicked or more selected items.
Multiple selection allows operation on multiple files at a time. Files can be selected by checking the box. You can also select all files in a folder, or clear selection, by check in the main folder click.
Opening file may mean using an integrated viewer the most popular type of file including images, audio, video and text.
Or you may configure X-plore to use open system file, in which case the system-predefined implementation that open particular file is launched.
Archives (currently supported are ZIP and RAR) are displayed as other folders. You can open, view content, and do standard operations that you'd do on files - rename, delete, copy from / to, etc.
Additional interaction is possible by button bar, which is between two windows, and is fully configurable. You can put buttons of your desired operations here, and change the order.
